NMTC Announces Cast for Guys and Dolls After a Fantastic Round of Open Auditions
Newcastle Musical Theatre Company is excited to reveal the principal cast for our upcoming production of Guys and Dolls! After a brilliant day of open auditions, we were blown away by the talent, energy, and dedication shown by everyone who stepped into the room. The competition was incredibly high this year — every performer brought their A-game, making the casting process both inspiring and wonderfully difficult. We’re so proud of everyone who auditioned and grateful for the passion you brought to the stage. Now, we’re thrilled to introduce the performers who will be bringing these iconic characters to life:
Our Cast
Sky Masterson – played by Kaie Bosworth and Tyler Neumann
Both Kaie and Tyler delivered captivating auditions, and we can’t wait to see their charisma and charm shine on stage.
Sarah Brown – shared by Gina Faed and Sarah McKinnell
Two incredible performers taking on one incredible role. Their voices and storytelling brought so much heart to the auditions.
Nathan Detroit – played by Jonathan Goodman
Jonathan’s comic timing and character work were outstanding — a perfect fit for the fast-talking organiser of the oldest established permanent floating crap game in New York.
Miss Adelaide – played by Lucy Sutton
Lucy lit up the audition room with her humour, warmth, and fabulous vocals. Adelaide is in very safe hands.
Nicely-Nicely Johnson – played by Jack Hawkins
Jack’s personality and powerhouse voice made his performance unforgettable. “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat” is set to be a showstopper.
Benny Southstreet – played by Liam Olsen
Liam brought brilliant characterisation and vocal strength to the role — a fantastic addition to the cast.
We can’t thank everyone enough for auditioning. The enthusiasm and community spirit were exactly what NMTC is all about, and we’re already looking forward to working together again on future productions.
Rehearsals for Guys and Dolls begin soon, and we can’t wait to get started. Stay tuned for updates, behind-the-scenes content, and ticket info — this is going to be a show you won’t want to miss!
